Back To Basics SEO Presentation Now Online
Blu’s presentation “Back to Basics Search Engine Optimization” from the October SEMpdx Hot Seat event is now available in our resources section.
This was Blu’s first real shot at public speaking and he did a fine job even though I did a poor job of preparing him for the event. I told him to expect 20 or 30 people and we (SEMpdx) had a record turnout of probably around 60 people at this event. That’s a little nerve-wracking! Good job Blu!
Great presentation! I learned quite a few things – didn’t know about the Google keywords tool, and I loved the Google heat map. It confirmed something which people keep telling me is wrong, and that is that the sponsored links at the top of pages aren’t trusted results. I personally use them often.
And well done Blu at your first shot at public speaking! You’ll probably agree that it doesn’t really matter how many people are at the event, you’re just as nervous no matter what the numbers.
