Want to help Google label some images?
Published by Christian | Filed under Search Engines
Feel like wasting some time while helping Google label the millions & millions of images they have? Hop on over to the Google Image Labeler site and do exactly that.
Basically, you can sign in with your Google account or just be a guest and play this “game” where you’ll be randomly paired with some anonymous & mysterious “partner.” Then you’ll have two minutes where Google will show an image and you’ll go about typing ‘tags’ that describe that image. The way you advance images is when either you & your partner write the same tag or you both pass. Google also has a point system to keep track of how well you’re matching tags with your partner as well as an online leaderboard (with point totals so high you’ll wonder if those individuals have a life outside of doing this Google Image Labeler game for hours a day).
Pretty clever way to get some user input from images…
