Internet slang consists of slang and acronyms that users have created as an effort to save keystrokes. Terms have originated from various sources including Bulletin Boards, AIM, Yahoo, IRC, Chat Rooms, Email, Cell Phone Text Messaging, and some even as far back as World War II. While it does save keystrokes, Internet slang can prove very hard to read.

Here’s a short list of the more obscure acronyms. Can you guess?

  • asarbambtaa
  • miid
  • pcbd
  • rcsa
  • tliwwv
  • tmr@ia

Here’s the full description:

asarbambtaa: all submissions are reviewed by a moderator before they are added

miid: my Internet is down

pcbd:page cannot be displayed

rcsa:right click save as

tliwwv:this link is worthless without video

tmr@ia:the monkeys are at it again
