Open Position
SEM Director
This position will report directly to the President, and will be directly responsible for improving services and client relationships. We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and experienced individual to help drive the next phase of growth for Amplify Interactive. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in search marketing, and will have the unique opportunity to make a direct contribution to the success of our clients and our company.
Job Responsibilities Include:
Internal
- Oversight of search engine marketing process including: project planning, development, and implementation.
- Development, improvement & delivery of SEM strategies and services
- Managing internal teams, and maintaining collaborative, strong working relationships
- Working closely with key personnel to establish best practices, refine processes, develop high quality solutions internally and for our clients, and to evaluate proposals and projects as they come.
Client Services
- Serve as a primary client contact to nurture client relationships and work with team members to grow the value of the account.
- Lead projects from conception through launch and ongoing services phases. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of projects including budgets, timelines, work scope, technical specs, etc.
- Develop a clear understanding of the client’s business objectives, challenges, target audience and growth/expansion expectations, etc. to assist in building SEM campaigns that will provide both immediate and long-term success
- Develop search engine marketing campaigns for client sites (including SEO, PPC & Link Development/Site Marketing) and manage execution
- Direct and/or collaborate with project teams that include designers, developers and programmers, marketing executives and internal staff
- Anticipate and identify project risks and respond appropriately.
- Prepare and drive meetings – including preparing agendas, keeping meetings focused, establishing a next steps and responsibility list.
- Prepare all documentation including creative briefs, estimates, timelines, work scope requirements, technical specification with internal team to provide proper documentation of project for the client.
- Generate monthly report content for clients.
Qualifications
- 5+ years prior experience in online marketing environment. Search engine marketing background desired, but direct mail, PR and even web development & technical experience are a plus also
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline
- Demonstrated SEO (search engine optimization) experience. Project portfolios & documentation examples are a plus
- Demonstrated SEM/PPC experience. Preferably certified with Google & Yahoo. Project portfolios & documentation examples are a plus.
- Strong client/project management skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Disciplined organizational skills in all aspects of job performance with strong attention to detail
- Personable, professional and pleasant demeanor suitable for client services role
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, informal environment
- EXPERT with Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook / Entourage*
- *Amplify Interactive is primarily a Mac environment
- Comfortable analyzing large quantities of data using Excel
- Experience with web analytics programs such as WebTrends, HitBox, Google Analytics, Omniture, etc
- Experience with paid search management tools & SEO/SEM tools
- Basic understanding of common web technologies as they relate to Web sites & search engine optimization such as Flash, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & other Web site development technologies.

Search Engine Marketing Specialist / Account Coordinator (Entry Level)
This entry-level position is part-time / hourly, with potential for full-time. The specialist will have the unique opportunity to learn the fundamentals of search engine & web site marketing – an increasingly important aspect of the marketing mix. The specialist will help with all aspects of the business, including campaign planning, execution & tracking. There will be a 2-month trial period to determine overall fit for a position with the company.
Responsibilities Include:
- Researching client site visibility & performing competitive analysis
- Optimizing client sites for search engine rankings
- Managing pay-per-click search engine campaigns
- Campaign measurement & reporting
- Researching & implementing improvements to client services
- Interface with outside vendors & partners / team members
- Proactively make client campaign recommendations
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or en-route to graduation) in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, MIS, or related discipline

Account Executive
This position will be full-time and will report directly to the President. We NEED someone who can jump right in and work with our team to manage and grow existing accounts. There will be a 2-month trial period to determine overall fit for a position with the company.
Responsibilities Include:
- Developing search engine marketing plans for client sites: competitive benchmarking, keyword research, site optimization, inbound link strategy
- Developing and managing pay-per-click advertising campaigns (Google, Yahoo, Shopping Engines, Blogs, etc): competitive benchmarking, keyword research, text ad creation, landing page testing and optimization, bid management to ROI
- Researching and initiating new techniques to improve marketability of sites
- Measuring ROI and effectiveness of organic search engine traffic and pay-per-click activities
- Analyzing results and presenting next steps to clients
- Testing and identifying mix of marketing variables that optimize results and exceed goals
- Analyzing log files for Web site activity such as traffic patterns and visitor trends
- Working with outside partner agencies with web development and design, and email marketing
Job Requirements:
